We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Highways Engineer to be responsible for the undertaking of activities concerned with major highway schemes/development and other civil engineering initiatives for one of our local government clients based in Doncaster.The Highways Engineer will undertake a feasibility study for highway schemes to provide cost effective solutions. They will be responsible for the assessment and procurement of survey requirements that are required for detailed design -traffic, geotechnical, topographical and drainage etc.They will manage liaising, programming and managing statutory undertakers diversion works, to ensure that these works do not adversely affect the scheme programme; the preparation of Contract Documents and other contracts; supervision of Contractors and Consultants,agreement of measurements and valuations and arrangement of payments. They will also produce financial, progress and performance reports.Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:
