Health Improvement Manager Band 6An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Improvement Manager to work across Rotherham, Doncaster and Scunthorpe sites on the hospitals smoking cessation programme and other health improvement initiatives.The Health Improvement Manager will support the Healthy Hospital Programme Manager in the implementation of the Healthy Hospital Programme within the Trust, in particular the roll out of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw QUIT programme.The role includes advising the Trust on appropriate measures to reduce harm from tobacco and support smoke free sites; developing and managing the Tobacco Harm Reduction Service within the Trust; providing tobacco dependency interventions and advice to patients, staff and in some instances relatives/carers of patients; and training of Trust staff.The post holder will also contribute to the wider role of the team in the promotion, development, monitoring and evaluation of the QUIT programme.Although based at Tickhill hospital site, there will be the requirement to travel to other Trust settings in Rotherham and Scunthorpe in to meet staff and service users, therefore, access to own transport is essential.The post requires a degree or professional qualification in a related subject and experience of delivering smoking cessation and tobacco harm reduction interventions.It is essential for this role that you are fully supportive of the Trust’s smoke free policy for our patients and the staff, acting as a smoke free champion throughout your work.For further details contact Olha Hodgson, Healthy Hospital Programme Manager,Closing date: Friday 08th January 2021Interview date: Friday 15th January 2021 (via MS Teams)We reserve the right to close down this advert early should there be a high number of applicants.PLEASE NOTE WE WILL CONTACT YOU VIA EMAIL ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION THEREFORE PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNTIt is important that you check your NHS jobs account regularly.
