Job Description

Epilepsy Nurse Band 5An exciting opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse to join The Epilepsy Specialist Nursing Service, which provides expert assessment, advice, training and intervention across Doncaster and Bassetlaw. The post is offered as a development opportunity with progression to a band 6 post following successful completion of the Adult Epilepsy Specialist Nurse Competency Framework. The Post holder will work closely with Epilepsy Specialist Nurses, Neurologists, Primary Care, the voluntary sector and multi-disciplinary team members to provide a responsive and supportive service to individuals from first seizure onwards.The role will include:

  • Assessment, care planning and support of patients with Epilepsy.
  • Medical and nurse led clinics, telephone clinics and home visits
  • Working closely with a range of community services to provide an integrated package of care and support to people with Epilepsy
  • The successful candidate will work across Doncaster and Bassetlaw. Therefore it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently.The successful applicant should be a Registered Nurse with experience of working with people with physical health conditions and people with Epilepsy.
