Job Description

Senior Childrens Support Worker – (Aged 8 - 17, SEMH, near Saxmundham) needed!I am currently working with a childrens residential homeon an exciting new role in the Saxmundham area.Starting from ASAP, the home are looking for a passionate Senior Childrens Support Workerto join them on a permanentbasis.The Home:

  • Spacious 4 bed children residential home
  • Mixed male and female aged 8 - 17 yrs old
  • Specialisesin social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)
  • Provide a therapeutic approach
  • High staffing ratio with expert clinical support
  • The Role:
  • Full-time (40 hrs per week) permanent position
  • Starting salary £22,000.00 - £26,000.00 per annum (negotiable based on experience)
  • To work within a small teamconsisting of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Senior Support Workers and Residential Support Workers
  • Maintain the highest standard of childrens care
  • Mentor and support junior members of staff
  • To act as shift leader
  • Provide safe and appropriate levels of observation and support to young people in line with theircare plans
  • What you will need:
  • Level 3qualification in children and young people
  • Minimum of 1years childrens residentialexperience
  • Good communication skills and ability to build strong rapport with staff and residents
  • Able to manage young peoples individualneeds
  • To be enthusiastic and positive in your approach to work
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people
