Job Description

A remote opportunity for a company based in Diss, Norfolk, UKThis is an opportunity with one of the worlds recognised specialist clinical biometrics CROs supporting global pharma, biotech, medical device and animal health partners with innovative, cost effective clinical development services.Overall PurposeLead SAS® Programming activities on significant and complex projects; leadership of SAS® Programming activities; may provide line management services for the SAS® Programming functionGeneral

  • Prepare and participate in client and in-house audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Support and facilitate SAS® Programming to build positive, productive relationships across departments, functional and project teams in a matrix environment.
  • Promote satisfaction with Company SAS® Programming services, foster sense of partnership and professional relationships across the company, sponsor and third-party study teams.
  • Provide back up support across the SAS® Programming group as needed.
  • Develop and maintain advanced knowledge and understanding of all relevant company systems and processes, customer SOPs (as required); lead and contribute to SOP updates and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain working familiarity with company project, resource and costing tracking systems.
  • Mentor and support the development and progression of SAS® Programmers.
  • Contribute to Business Development activities, participate in bid defence meetings as needed.
  • Manage and plan own time effectively and efficiently, accurately determine and communicate study resource needs and make effective use of assigned SAS® Programming resource.
  • Accurately record time according to project-specific requirements and general company guidelines.
  • Assist and act as a deputy for Team Leader SAS® Programming.
  • Maintain an overall understanding of all relevant legislation, regulations and guidelines.
  • Attend all training as required by the company.
  • Other activities as required by the Line Manager.
    • SAS® Programming Departmental & Process Management
  • Contribute to the planning, leadership and management of the SAS® Programming function.
  • Provide SAS® Programming expertise to define and implement process, technical and training solutions supporting the execution of client and study requirements.
  • Lead and contribute to the identification, development and implementation of departmental and company-wide initiatives regarding process improvements, systems and procedures.
  • Serve, where nominated, as SAS® Programming Subject Matter Expert.
  • Support SAS® Programming process improvement and information sharing across projects.
  • Serve as SAS® Programming Client Account Manager as needed, ensuring that client specific procedures and standards across projects are developed, documented and used by project teams; communicating with client as representative of the SAS® Programming team.
  • Support resource management and the management of workloads within the group and in collaboration with colleagues across the department, contribute to ensuring sufficient, qualified resources to meet business targets whilst maintaining target billability of staff.
