Michelle Denny Recruitment is supporting the prominent Diss based business, Merit Plastic Mouldings, in the search for an inspiring and hands-on Production Team Leader. The salary for this role is up to £32,000pa, offering a great opportunity for boththe up and coming and more experienced leaders.This important position offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of production workers in an exciting and fast-paced environment. The Production Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring that the team meets its daily targets, while also providing guidanceand support to the individual members. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities and the ability to work under pressure. It is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their leadership skills in a challenging yetrewarding setting.Hours are on a rotating two-week shift of 6am - 2pm | 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday.Responsibilities:* Oversee the production process, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards* Monitor staff performance and provide feedback where necessary* Ensure that safety regulations are adhered to at all times* Identify areas for improvement in the production process and develop strategies to increase efficiency* Liaise with other departments such as Purchasing, Quality Control and Logistics to ensure a smooth workflow* Prepare reports on production performance for senior management reviewDesired Skills & Experience:* Proven experience in a manufacturing environment* Ability to lead and motivate a team* Knowledge of health & safety regulations* Good communication skills, both written and verbal* Experience of production planning & scheduling* Understanding of quality control procedures* Excellent problem-solving skillsThe business is a energetic, successful & long-standing organisation, providing state-of-the art design, prototyping, moulding, assembly and developmental services to their wide range of industrial customers.
