Job Description

Finance Business Partner - Circa £51,000 pa - Hybrid - Based in Diss, Norfolk - PermanentAre you a qualified Accountant Would you like to work for a forward-thinking company that places focus on their peopleOur client is one of the largest integrated veterinary groups in Europe with a turnover in excess of £0.5bn, over 500 veterinary practice sites across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, and more than 6500 employees. Alongside veterinary practices, they also operatepet crematoria, laboratories, a distribution center, an online business, and buying groups.Do you have financial acumen with a commercial mindset and do you have the ability to form productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels Can you drive accountability, and positively challenge and support business leadersAre you comfortable handling large volume of data and can you support business decision-making through your analysisDue to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for 2x qualified Accountants to join our clients team in the role of Finance Business Partner. Working as part of a team of experienced Finance Business Partners you will be the Finance lead responsible for period-end reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for a division(s) within the group.Key duties and responsibilities to include:

  • Producing and reviewing of the Group consolidated management accounts providing insightful commentary, including hands-on production of the divisional accounts reported
  • Assisting with the creation of the budget for this region and to understand and provide constructive challenge to their business partner(s)
  • Improving the quality, impact, and understanding of reporting on business performance including the development of non-financial KPI analysis in order to monitor performance against plans
  • Development and creation of financial forecasting, decision-making support, and commercial analysis
  • Creation and support of Capex business cases
  • Delivery of robust financial control, including development and implementation of improvements in processes and procedures
  • Seeking continuous development and improvement in client service and processes
  • Highlight operational or financial risks and, where appropriate, provide advice on potential solutions for minimising these risks
  • Build strong working relationships with business partners and their teams
  • This role will require travel to regional sites in accordance with duties
Skills and experience required:
  • Qualified/Finalist qualified accountant
  • Good understanding of the effective use of accounting systems
  • Microsoft NAV and Cognos skills are desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Comfort with exposure to senior stakeholders is desirable
