• Deliver agreed UK and Ireland Transport budget circa £6m p/a.
• Ensure compliance of our Operators Licence managing the defect repair process.
• Communication and SLA management with suppliers to minimise equipment downtime and monitor performance through regular review meetings.
• Develop and implement strategies to provide a level of service that meets or surpasses expectations while managing costs to budget.
• Manage/Oversee Maintenance Events to ensure fleet is maintained in a safe and roadworthycondition, meets full compliance with all statutory and legislative obligations, in line with O Licence compliance, Construction and Use Regulations and FORS requirements.
• Review third party spend vs own fleet to ensure most cost effective way of working is achieved.
• Influence and coach branch personnel to improve fleet utilisation and efficiency.
• Be a champion for Masternaut, programme fobs, vehicles, vehicle groups and manage reporting for the branch network. Monitor fobbing patterns for the branches and challenge where drivers are not identified where a vehicle is being used.
• Ensure all relevant paperwork is received from the third party in a timely manner, audited and findings communicated.

Key Skills & Experience

• 4-5 years minimum experience in a Transport Management role
• Previous experience in HGV mechanical maintenance
• Sound knowledge of Road Transport Regulations
• Be a national CPC Licence holder
• Member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers
• Experience with FORS, Practitioner (Desirable)
• Sound knowledge and experience in Carriage of Dangerous Goods
• Good use of all Microsoft packages specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
