Job Description

Manufacturing - Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) ManagerThe Opportunity:An exciting opportunity is available for a HSEQ Manager with a strong proven background in manufacturing. The role will be working as part of the Safetykleen HSEQ team with a specific lead role in supporting our Manufacturing sites at Dinnington and Technowash(Safetykleen Group company) at Northallerton.People are at the heart of everything we do, and you would have an important role in supporting a positive safety culture within our workplaces.You’ll be developing, executing and continually improving and HSEQ processes and activities to support legal compliance, incident/defect reduction and reduce our environmental impact to meet customer requirements and stakeholder needs.Further Insight:

  • Efficiently and effectively develop, execute, audit and improve the HSEQ management systems to meet certification requirements including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, the needs of customers, the business and its stakeholders.
  • Accident, risk assessment and internal / external non-conformance management including trend major issue identification, root cause analysis, counter-measure identification, implementation and validation.
  • Actively support the operational management teams in improving HSEQ engagement and involvement at both manufacturing sites.
  • Develop and implement HSEQ training to support needs of the business and its stakeholders.
  • Coach, develop and build HSEQ knowledge within the operational teams.
  • Develop, execute, and manage short and long-term HSEQ strategy, objectives and KPI’s for the two manufacturing sites.
  • Develop, execute, manage and control HSEQ documentation ensuring it is available, adhered to and completed correctly by all personnel.
  • Manage and control HSEQ budgets and spend limits, taking appropriate action on adverse variances.
  • Execute team briefs and maintain update HSEQ performance data.

  • Salary £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Desired Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2-3 years’ experience of working as a HSEQ Manager in an industrial product design, manufacturing supply environment.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proven management experience, supporting individual, team, and organisational change, keeping our vision, mission and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
  • Full, current UK driving license
