CAD Technician

A new opportunity has arisen for a CAD Technician / Draughtsman to join our client in Dinnington.

Key responsibilities and duties are, but not limited to:

Produce detailed 2D/3D CAD drawings for production, customers and suppliers to ensure all measurements are present and correct using Solidworks software.
Read customer drawings accurately and produce designs to accurately reflect the customer requirements
Maintains safe and clean work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
Use a CMM machine and have the ability to reverse engineer customers samples by means of producing clear technical drawings for internal or external manufacturing
Being able to identify potential problems and find solutions to enable the company to manufacture the machine knives
Maintain the drawings register
Create drawing DXF SLD drawings for use on laser cutting and marking machines,
Create Bill of Materials for Works orders.
Use of 3D white light Laser Scanner where training will be given.
Assistance with maintaining the company operational procedures manual and monitoring adherence to the procedures by all employees
You will be expected to carry out your responsibilities with due regard to the Companys policy, organisation and arrangements for Health and Safety at Work.
