Job Description

Junior Software Tester - Circa £25,000Got a years’ experience testing web applications Keen to keep learning and work for a company who are passionate about personal development for each and every employee Want to pick up automation testing skills tooI have just the role for you.I’m recruiting for a company in South Manchester, near to Chorlton, Didsbury and Hulme, and they are looking to add another QA Engineer to their team.Summary

  • The role will involve helping the QA team in writing test cases, manual testing of web applications and some APIs and also automating tests.
  • You’ll be testing enhancements and changes to their software applications
  • You’ll be involved in all stages of application build and development
  • You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas to define and improve the test strategy
  • You’ll work closely with the broader tech team including developers and UX designers etc.
    • Day to Day Tasks
  • Write, prepare and execute test scripts, test cases and documentation
  • Raising, reporting, tracking, retesting, and resolving defects
  • Web and mobile testing
  • Functional, exploratory and regression testing
  • Re-test activities

  • They have a portfolio of big, complex, high transaction websites within the group - some of which are in the gambling sector, some which are more marketing focused.
  • They are international, cross browser and cross device sites and you’ll be working with the Test Manager to ensure all are tested, bug free and good to go.
    • Must Have Experience
  • 1 year plus worth of web testing experience
  • Ability to write test scripts and review requirements
  • Cross browser testing ability and understanding
  • Understanding of the SDLC and the STLC
  • Knowledge of test methodologies
