Job Description

Projects and Sub Contracts Manager - DidcotAbout the roleYou could become part of a major service provider looking after a High value client in the Central Didcot Area, the role will be based on a single site. You will be required to work as part of a standard Shift Pattern 8.00 - 17.00, with the occasional need for flexible working, and overtime.You will be able to provide general Mechanical maintenance knowledge to the site, primarily working with the subcontractors, understanding what they are in for and what to inspect. This role has arisen due to the large works going on site, which require the full attention of the Sub Contracts Manager.Essential specifications relevant to the role:

  • Undertaking the responsibility for the safe working of planned and Reactive maintenance - Mechanical, building and civils maintenance (SSOW and sign off)
  • Responsible for scheduling sub-contractor visits, including visitor bookings.
  • Understand CDM regulations where they apply
  • Make contractors compliance by assuring they have SSOW, RAMS and reporting any incidents or near misses.
  • Take on AP on call duties where the need arises
  • About you:To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Demonstrable previous experience with a Mechanical Background or technical qualification e.g. HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Previous maintenance experience working in a commercial environment
  • 5 years within a similar role
  • Ideally from a construction or maintenance background, providing series with a team manager
  • Use of CAFM systems for planning or recording work
  • Strong Health and Safety Knowledge - SMSTS or iosh managing safety as a minimum (Nebosh Desirable)
  • Understand the principles of M&E, Civils and building fabric maintenance / construction work
  • Driving Licence
