Learn more about us and the role: Could you be our new temporary Financial AccountantAre you self-motivated and keen to develop in a Company that puts people first Do you have excellent analytical skills and a passion to for numbers If so, then this could be the role for you!We have a fantastic temporary opportunity to join our Finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.This role will be supporting all aspects of the company financial interactions including month end duty, variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation,year-end audit queries and statutory reporting.Did we mention that we offer hybrid working too! Who are we looking forYou should be a tenacious, confident self-starter, with an appetite to learn and strong attention to detail.You’ll be working with teams across the organisation, includingpersonnel at the corporation’s locations in the USA and Australasia. Key attributes should include: • Be highly organized and possess excellent communication and analytical skills.• Be able to adapt to changing priorities, with the ability to multi-task being key.• Excel & Microsoft Office knowledge is essential, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.Key activities & responsibilities include:

  • Payroll journal posting
  • Investigating reconciling items to a satisfactory resolution
  • Month end duty – various standard journals and accrualsposting
  • Departmental costs review and variance analysis
  • Analysis work, and assisting the wider Finance team on project work as required
  • Posting accounting journals in the ledger as necessary in the areas of remit
  • Analysis work on tax sensitive types of expenditure
  • Assistance with Group tax pack, including UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand
  • Assistance with the year end audit, including timely management of audit requests and collating the information requests.
  • Assistance with the preparation of Group reporting, including Group consolidation of John Sands business and UKGbusiness.
You should be a strong communicator, a professional approach and the ability to build relationships whilst liaising with key internal departments.You need to be at least part-qualified or equivalent.This role operates in a hybrid working pattern of office-based days and working from home.
