Job Description

Reed Talent Solutions are currently working with a Dewsbury based NHS Trust to recruit an Electrical Engineer on a permanent basis. The post-holder will work as part of the dedicated Estates & Maintenance team.Role Information

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Band 5 Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within our healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, and performing necessary repairs on electrical equipment and systems.
  • Installation and Upgrades: Assisting with the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency backup systems.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with other members of the Estates team, external contractors, and clinical staff to maintain a safe and functional environment for patients and staff.
Essential Criteria
  • Qualifications: A relevant electrical engineering qualification (such as an HNC or equivalent).
  • Experience: Previous experience in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare-specific electrical systems is advantageous.
  • Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
