Job Description

Connect Housing are looking a Domestic Abuse Housing Support Coordinators to join us, providing high quality, person centred housing support services to service users of domestic abuse services, including refuge and other accommodation, to meet individualneed and contractual requirements of the service.We are currently looking to recruit a Domestic Abuse Housing Support Coordinator for 30 hours a week on a permanent contract.

  • 30 Hours a week Pro Rata wage: £23,724. Based in North Kirklees.
The role includes providing high-quality, person-centred housing support services to service users of domestic abuse services, including refuge and other accommodation, to meet individual needs and contractual requirements of the service.Processing referrals and conducting person centred support needs and risk assessments, you will provide an effective, efficient, and sensitive service where no two working days are the same. If you do not have housing experience but have a track record ofprovided person-centred support to those who are experiencing domestic abuse, we would still like to hear from you.Safeguarding is a priority, and you will be partnership working with DRAMM and MARAC, social services, the police, safeguarding teams, health services and schools. You will also be dealing with the day-to-day supervision of the refuge accommodation, whichincludes a core site and dispersed properties.Whilst no formal qualifications are required, you must have demonstrable experience of: working with clients experiencing domestic abuse, working within guidelines, liaising and working with other agencies, and identifying and managing situations involvinga level of risk.Understanding the issues and the challenges faced by our service users, you will be able to identify and provide practical and emotional support to our service users.At Connect, our values are at the heart of everything we do and our vision is to contribute towards a sustainable and just society.
