This role will be supporting all aspects of the company financial interactions including group reporting, variance analysis, balance sheetreconciliations and reviewing financial statements and cash flow.Who are we looking forYou should be a tenacious, confident self-starter with an appetite to learn.You’ll be working with various internal teams across the organisation so you should be a strong communicator, have a professional approach and the ability to build relationships whilst liaising with key internal departments. Candidates should have some workingknowledge of Finance and be comfortable with working with larger volumes of data.Key attributes should include:- Be highly organized and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities.-Excellent attention to detail-Excel & Microsoft Office knowledge is essential, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.Key activities & responsibilities include:* Accounting for raw materials – receipts, issues, obsolescence and closing valuation. Review of where raw materials are being consumed and that the resulting transactions are correctly accounted for.* Ensure completion of raw material cycle counts and review of any adjustments completed* Review of bulk warehouse inventory adjustments - understand why the occur and make sure they are correctlyaccounted for.* Scan based trading - Cover for and assist the Scan Based Trading Controller as and when needed, in the support the processing of invoices to the customer, store inventory counts and returns from store.* Scan based trading inventory adjustments - review of in-store adjustments and report on significant events. Understand why excessive adjustments occur and work with internal departments to find ways to reduce the volume and value of inventory adjustedin store.* Scan based trading inventory reconciliations - understand and aim to prevent scan based trading transactions and financial transactions deviating to create a difference in system inventory valuation and the value held on the financial ledgers.* Goods in transit calculation and justification. Determine if inventory has been receipted or is yet to arrive and account as appropriate.* Accounting for brokered product returns. Derive and review brokered return volume. Value the returns claim made to the brokers. Work with the Brokered Administration Department to resolve any queries relating to returns or any other part of the financialprocess.* Balance Sheet Reconciliations* Ad hoc Standard cost price maintenance* Assisting in the planning and estimating of working capital (inventory and accounts payable) plus other relevant balance sheet items.* Supplier payment runs including brokered seasonal cash adjustments and legislative payment reporting.* Liaising with external audit as part of the corporate audits. This role operates in a hybrid working pattern of office-based days and working from home. Head Office is based in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
