Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Team Manager to run thePre-enablement crews.The ideal candidate will have experience in Managing a team of field-based Managers and Engineers within the Broadband/Telecoms industry, in either Domestic or Business premises. This includes blown Fibre (FTTP) and Copper Cable TV networks (HFC).This position requires a high degree of self-motivation, organisation, and management skill. You will take on the responsibility of delivering day to day field-based Operations while maintaining Health & Safety and Quality Assurance procedures.Good Salary, Vehicle and great company benefits and career progression.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Daily Supervision of staff and contractors.
  • Monitor the delivery and performance of work orders in line with contract SLAs and Client quality standards.
  • Ensure productivity is maintained to a high level.
  • Attend regular meetings with the client.
  • Onsite supervision/Coaching.
  • Deal with day-to-day issues and problem solving on all activities.
  • Liaise with the local authorities when necessary (ensure appropriate notices are in place etc.)
  • Ensure the whereabouts of staff, tracking them with progress reports.
  • Comply with Health & Safety and environmental policies.
  • Responsible to ensure van audits, onsite audits and carried out.
  • Deal with toolbox talks.
The ideal candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
  • A minimum of two years experience working within telecoms, ideally Virgin Media, Openreach or similar network experience, to include cabling, end user installation and Civil activities.
  • Effective Leadership and people Management.
  • Positive Communicator.
  • Self-motivated, able to motivate others effectively.
  • Team building skills.
  • Results orientated.
  • Awareness of Customer Satisfaction.
  • Financially astute.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential (max 6 points)
  • Strong client management, planning, logistics, resource management and commercial controls.
  • Good working Knowledge of work management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Good awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Procedures, New Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Construction Design Management Regulations and Section 74 Regulations.
