Job Description

New Business and Project Manager (Engineering) - Competitive Salary + Excellent benefits Based - DevonOur Client are a world class automotive engineering firm who produce parts for the motorsport and defence industries. They are a growing and dynamic business who are looking to increase market share and want to recruit a dynamic and experienced New Business Developer / Key Account Project Manager with solid technical engineering experience. This could be from any engineering sector, although automotive engineering experience would be a bonus.You will be responsible for winning new accounts, project managing that account into the business and strengthening relationships and growing the business, increasing revenues and turnover.Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out strategic formulation and develop new business opportunities to win new accounts
  • Engage with new prospects and existing clients to maximise revenue, increase margins, grow turnover reaching targets
  • Initiate and lead the RFQ process from identification to cost assessments and submission
  • Integrate and project manage new accounts into the business growing the relationship and working alongside internal teams for success
  • Drive continuous improvement of current methods and processes where required
  • Customer base management within the UK, oversee organic growth, maximising opportunity, turnover and profitability of existing and new accounts
  • Provide accurate sales M.I and forecasts trends for monthly and quarterly analysis
  • Manage all accounts professionally and successfully upselling and cross selling to maximise revenues
    • Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ B2B experience within a New Business Development position, and will have "solution" sales experience
  • Strong new business development pedigree with a consistent track record of success
  • Ideally educated to degree level e.g. engineering although not essential
  • Able to deliver new business and integrate it into the wider business operation
  • Key Account management skills
  • Self-starter, motivated to succeed and wants to develop their career able to work remotely
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation with gravitas. Candidates must be able to handle presentations at all levels
  • Able to work effectively in a team ensuring that the best outcome for the company
  • Can prioritise to deliver successful project outcomes on time and to budget
  • Full driving license required as role requires some travel UK wide
