We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.The organisation is currently undergoing a period of transformation, so the right candidate will provide a sense of assurance and guidance, alongside excellent management and technical accounting skills.Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for: Leading and developing the accounting and financial transaction teams, including provision of training. Operating relevant internal group controls. Processing transactions in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that records and systems are accurate. Half and full year reporting, including:o Group reporting.o Managing statutory accounts preparation.o Assisting with corporate tax calculations and preparation of papers to support key judgement areas. Preparing the group consolidation pack. Timely and accurate cash flow reporting and forecasting. Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to solve queries, and management of the relationship with the auditors. Ensuring that the new systems implemented during the transformation are delivered effectively, within the relevant timescales and create value for the team.Essential Skills/Competencies: ACA/ACCA/CIMA with relevant experience in a fast-paced commercial environment. Excellent leadership skills, able to motivate and inspire teams to accomplish their goals. Previous experience of managing medium to large teams. Experience of working in, and delivering on, financial transformation, with a mind-set of improvement. Able to deal with complexity and detail, whilst maintaining an overall perspective on priorities and risks. Outstanding IT including Advanced Excel. Strong technical accounting skills including analysis.
