Job Description

Ready for the top job RGB Recruitment Ltd are excited to be working with a successful and well established business who, due to succession planning, are looking to appoint a MANAGING DIRECTOR to lead and develop the company further. This established and award winning business has earned a fantastic reputation for delivery within their operating sector. With a wide variety of clients they are able to carry out a range of services through their specialist divisions and have experience workingwithin retail, leisure and hotel sectors with D & B contracts up to £10m in value. The RoleThe objective of the position will be to lead the company to fulfil and exceed all business objectives, whilst creating an inclusive and collaborative culture. Travelling between their operations in the South West & South East, you will provide strategic, operational management plans to the business and your senior management team to ensure successful project deliveries and targets are met. Responsibilities include:

  • Regular communication with the board
  • Create business plans and strategies
  • Engage and deliver on set goals and plans for the business
  • Monitor company performance and project delivery
  • Maintain & develop good client relationships
  • Build and develop strong, diverse teams
  • Drive staff engagement and good company culture
  • Manage and control the P & L in conjunction with the FD
  • Plan, prepare and implement the annual budget
  • Oversee and guide bids and pre construction of schemes ensuring viability
The PersonThe company are looking for an individual with the following skills, experience and qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in a Senior level Management position
  • Excellent commercial acumen and financial understanding
  • Extensive and detailed technical construction experience in an operational role
  • Ability to plan and strategise projects and business goals
  • Confident communicator and presenter with ability to build strong client relationships
  • Committed to undertaking a position that involves travel and working away from home
  • A problem solver and effective decision maker
  • Ideally degree qualified in Construction or min HNC level
  • Holds a professional qualificationi.e. MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM or CEng
  • Management & leadership training would be advantageous
  • General Health & Safety knowledge and training
