Job Description

Novax Recruitment are currently looking for a Regional Development Coordinator on behalf of one of our clients. Our client is a well established and reputable House builder and are looking to add to their Technical Department with another coordinator, due to their continued growth. They are looking for someone with a background in Civils and House Building to start ASAP so if this role sounds of interest please feel free to apply or get in touch.Role TitleRegional Development CoordinatorPurpose of Role:

  • Provide support and assistant to the Regional Development Manager and wider development team in the co-ordination and delivery of the pre-development process concerning architectural and engineering activities and technical solutions/efficiencies for the region in respect of land purchase, planning and pre-start preparations and build development prior to handover to build management.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Take a whole company perspective to the performance of the regional business by positively influencing and enhancing the profitability and operating effectiveness of the business
  • Assist the Regional Development Manager as required to :
  • procure and produce technical investigations reports and obtaining third party design and cost proposals and associated requirements
  • collate relevant sales and legal documentation e.g. conveyance plans, sales area layout drawings and site compound layouts, including POSs, S38, S104 adoption plans for each development or phase of development.
  • appoint and manage consulting engineers and other external consultants and agencies.
  • appoint and manage utilities providers, monitoring and reporting on site progress.
  • register each development with the NHBC and building warrant/control (where applicable), upload EPCs and discharge building regulation conditions and any relevant completion certificates.
  • manage technical and regulatory approvals and adoptions.
  • prepare and maintain project delivery and control programmes and tracking documents for the monitoring of progress and for use in providing status reports to the Regional Development Director and Group Technical.
  • assist with the effective management of CDM-C / Health & Safety responsibilities on all developments.
  • advise the region on changes in technical matters as they affect the efficiency and performance of the region.
  • Deliver key information, reports, assessments/status updates, activity analysis, detailed individual project tracking schedules and regular update & reports in relation to technical solutions and all designated regional technical matters.
  • Ensure that all pre-and post-development technical information is received, co-ordinated, and distributed on time and within budget, liaising closely with Group Technical.
  • Provide key status reports and updates on all KPIs relating to technical aspects within the remit of the development team.
  • Coordinate the communication and distribution of technical information, drawings and specifications to the wider business using the relevant document management procedures.
  • At all times comply with the rules and procedures contained within the Avant Technical Ways of working.
  • Coordinate, attend and participate in meetings with external consultants and manage the distribution of information and taking of minutes from all meetings together with updated programmes / status reports taking action to ensure that project deliverables are met and actions is taken to resolve or mitigate current or anticipated issues that threaten critical path requirements.
  • Ensure all technical files are maintained and are up to date in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • At all times comply with responsibilities under the Companys Health and Safety and Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies and all other company policies, procedures and instructions
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.
  • Qualification / Technical skills / Experience / Knowledge
  • Knowledge of most of the development / technical process with the ability to learn more and contribute to areas not originally within their specialism.
  • Ability to support the delivery of critical path requirements as it relates to regional technical requirements and liaison with Group departments and other internal and external service providers.
  • Previous experience as either a project support or discipline expert within a development organisation.
  • Ability to work towards and support the delivery of tight deadlines.

  • Ensures Avant WOWs and Group policies and processes with regard to architectural and engineering matters are being followed.

  • Circa £40,000-£45,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus scheme
