Job Description

Business Development Manager required for our client who are based in Dinnington, S25.Suitable locations: Leicester, Loughborough, Coalville, Hinckley, Tamworth, Burton-on-Trent, Melton Mowbrasy, Oakham, Stamford.Benefits

The RoleSupport the Sales arm of the business by focussing on product sales in the East Midlands. This includes visiting at the pre-sales stage through to the after sale support consisting of and other areas of support to ensure optimal conditions. Duties will include:
  • Responsible for the development and day-to-day management of your territory and/or market segments, measured by the consolidated AREA margin
  • Engaging in site visits and liaising with Engineering Managers/Business owners.
  • Selling a range of specialist machine tools to a range of engineering enterprises across a mixture of market sectors such as Food, FMCG, Recycling, Plastics, Automotive and more.
  • Converting and developing new business relationships through account management and business development.
  • Working remotely and autonomously, and be accountable for your own success
  • Responsible for generating appointments and new accounts through your own prospecting activities.
  • Extensive daily travel in geographical territories and to the companys main office in Sheffield.
  • Use of global CRM system for lead and activity tracking
Key Attributes
  • Must have experience selling Machine Tools or Precision engineered parts
  • An understand of Automated Technical Machinery
  • Previous experience selling a bespoke engineering product
  • Proven success developing new business and developing accounts
  • Confident and professional communicator with great interpersonal and listening skills
  • A dynamic work ethic, not afraid of trying new methods
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently
  • Full UK, clean and current driving licence (essential)
  • A willingness to travel
