TLP Recruitment are looking to source a Site Technician based in the East Midlands for a leading international manufacturer of building construction materials.The company prides itself on supplying a complete technical roofing solution to meet each individual client needs with emphasis on quality, design and purpose.Job Objectives:You will be working closely with the region’s sales team overseeing site installations while upholding the high standards of workmanship that embody the company’s reputation for having the highest trust and quality in their services. A key part of your role will be in the building and sustaining of existing contractor relationships while delivering hands on training for approved operatives.The Role:• Responsibility for carrying out site inspections for multiple projects within the designated region.• Training of Approved Contractor operatives, ensuring the content of the training and quality of delivery are to the highest possible standard.• Complete detailed inspection reports following site visits within the designated region.• Acting as intermediary to assist the team and the contractor with issues to site.• Project tracking and time planning to maximise efficiency.• Communicating with relevant parties to ensure complex and/or high value projects within the designated region are managed appropriately.• Communicating regularly with sales personnel and internal departments to ensure issues concerning sites, contractors etc. are shared and dealt with effectively and efficiently.Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for individuals with a real sense of self-motivation while still having the understanding of how all efforts benefit the team as a whole. While you will be self-driven with the ambition to succeed individually, all efforts contribute to the teams success rates overall, a view that is very much paramount in the clients vision of being a team-spirited and led business, we are therefore looking for someone who has strong communication skills and appreciates the need to consciously work with the team in mind and not just each individuals targets and portfolio.Necessary Skills:• In depth knowledge and practical hands on experience in the installation of a variety of flat roofing systems; specifically, Bitumen and Single Ply.• A good understanding of construction, from both a technical and commercial aspect.• Experienced in delivery of Training - Train the Trainer qualification advantageous• Health and Safety awareness (CSCS Card).• Professional, friendly and resourceful approach with outgoing personality and strength of character.• Sound organisational and administrative abilities.• Initiative led, driven and motivated.• Computer literacy to an intermediate Microsoft level of competency.• Sound communication skills, both written and verbal mediums.At both here, TLP Recruitment and the client, we pride ourselves on always sourcing the right candidate to make sure both client and applicant are happy, like the employer, finding people the jobs best suited to their skillset is at the heart of what we do and we truly believe that that enables us to find careers and a place to be settled and not to just be employed.
