Job Description

HSQE Advisor (IRATA Level 3)£25,000 - £35,000 + BenefitsDerbyshire, East Midlands - Remote BasedAre you an experienced IRATA Technician looking to embark a career in health and safetyPenguin Recruitment are proud to be partnered with one of the UKs leading specialist Civil Engineering contractors who provide a wide range of geotechnical and structural services to clients across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an ambitious HSQE Advisor to join the team.The successful HSQE Advisor will be IRATA qualified (ideally Level 3) and will have detailed knowledge/understanding of rope access techniques and a genuine passion for health and safety. Possessing the NEBOSH General/Construction certificate is required and experience working within the geotechnical or wind sector is highly desirable. This is a remote based role that will involve national travel so possessing a full UK driving license is essential.Reporting to the HSQE Director, you will be responsible for ensuring projects comply with current HSEQ legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.The role of a HSQE Advisor:

  • Assist project teams to ensure all works are completed in accordance to programme whilst adhering to H&S, quality and environmental procedures
  • Feedback observations and suggestions to the site management teams and the relevant Project Manager
  • Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and high standards are maintained
  • Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation
  • Encouraging a Health and Safety culture throughout the organisation
  • Provide specialist advice and support in all technical matters related to rope access arrangements
  • Ensure that corrective actions identified in audits, inspections and investigations are implemented on site
  • Promote reporting of all near misses and potential incidents on site
