Job Description

A fantastic permanent opportunity to join a reputable leader in Social Housing, based in the Midlands.The role of Repairs Operations Manager, will include responsibility for the delivery of repairs and maintenance operations, working closely with the Head of Service, managing a portfolio of circa 20k properties. You will also lead a team of Trade Supervisors,Trade Engineers and sub-contractors.Client DetailsThe Social Housing Association recruiting for this role have won multiple awards, including best flexible working initiative.   • Responsible for repairs DLO.
  • Manage the day-to-day activity of the operations team, ensuring that all business objectives are met within overall time, cost and budget constraints.
  • Consistently monitoring and delivering against customer, commercial and internal operational Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensuring involvement with customers to maintain a positive and high quality service.
  • Ensuring that the repairs operational team are delivering works to required designs, specifications, standards and HSQE requirements.
  • Responsible for producing business cases, tender returns and pricing information for internal and external business opportunities and to ensure their successful commercial delivery.
  • Ensuring reasonable availability to support emergencies and out of hours escalations when required.
  • Supporting other areas of the business, such as Voids, programmed and project works as required.
Profile
  • Ideally qualified in a building related subject to HNC, City & Guilds or NVQ or relevant trade background.
  • Experience of formal contract agreements (including sub-contractors) and procurement activities is advantageous.
  • Proven experience of working within an organisation delivering maintenance and building services.
  • Management experience and proven experience leading a team to deliver high quality services and meeting operational and financial targets.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation (including CDM) and good practice, and experience of applying this knowledge in a repairs and maintenance setting.
  • Competent in budget setting and monitoring.
