Job Description

Internal Recruitment LeadSandiacre with occasional UK travel £40,000-£50,000 plus non contractual bonus Grafton Recruitment are working exclusively with a global engineering company to recruit an experienced Recruitment Lead This is a newly created role in the business and will suit an analytical, energetic and dynamic Internal Recruitment Partner.The purpose of the role is to reduce agency spend, focusing on direct hire strategy, be the HRIS system super user to utilise the data effectively along with supporting and leading the company apprenticeship scheme.Reporting into the Senior Regional HR Manager, the successful Internal Recruitment Lead will be responsible for the below:

  • Implement efficient and effective procedures for the recruitment, retention, development and deployment of employees across the business
  • Focus on direct recruitment and reduce recruitment agency spend
  • Create and post compelling job adverts on the companys website and recruitment portals
  • Receive, filter and discuss candidate applications with the hiring manager
  • Make the interview process/ assessment days robust and efficient
  • Participate in the interview process
  • Liaise with candidates (and recruitment agencies where necessary) to coordinate interviews and chase feedback from hiring managers
  • Assist Head of HR in identifying the most appropriate talent attraction techniques
  • Ensure a smooth and effective recruitment process is applied in line with legal and Company guidelines from shortlisting of CVs through to the induction process
  • Drive a modern, cost effective approach to managing people across the business
  • Working across the business to ensure that the specific HR needs of the various parts of the business are met within an overall framework
  • Interact with and counsel all levels of management, salaried & hourly employees, to assist and resolve a wide variety of personnel, wage/salary and benefit related issues.
  • Deputise for the payroll manager, when required, in administration of payroll, salary administration, time and attendance and any other related activities
  • Overall monitoring of absence, including analysis, and assisting line managers in their management of such issues
  • Harmonising, where feasible, policies, procedures and terms & conditions across the Company
  • Promoting the management of employee performance across the Company
  • Implement, update and monitor HR procedures to ensure the business is legally compliant, promoting best practice and challenging the status quo
  • Responsible for the provision of a comprehensive HR advisory and support service to the business, including legal and best practice matters
  • Promote the ongoing development of all employees, including competence and succession planning issues
  • Continually look for improvement initiatives on HR systems processes and practices
  • Developing appropriate conditions of employment across the business
  • Support line management in undertaking effective dealings with their staff on all employment matters
  • Responsible for training Managers on how to access the HCM system and its various modules and to orient new employees as needed in use of EE Self Service functions
  • Responsible for maintaining accuracy of information in the HCM system
  • Managing HCM data retention in line with the UK GDPR/ DPA 2018
  • Audit HCM data, create reports and dashboards for the business/ managers
  • Responsible for managing all processes/ modules on the HCM system such as performance, merit, STIP, SMART Goals, recruitment etc.
  • Process HR Requests, Performance and Comp Cycle in the HCM System
  • Responsible for identifying recruitment needs and planning for the business
  • Manage the Recruit process in the HCM (SAGE)
  • Occasional Travel to locations across UK
Requirements for the Internal Recruitment Lead:
  • 3-5 years previous experience in recruitment
  • CIPD qualified (preferred)
  • In-house recruitment experience ideal (although will consider agency)
  • Experience in in a multi-site or manufacturing environment
  • Up to date working knowledge and experience of Employment Law and general legislation
  • Previous experience in a payroll environment (preferred)
  • Advanced Experience of Microsoft excel skills
  • Experience of HRIS and other IT systems/ platforms
  • Experience of recruitment in a fast-paced environment
  • Own driving license essential
