Job Description

Policy and Research AnalystWe are currently working with a local authority who are seeking a Policy and Research Analyst to join their Commissioning, Communities and Policy department.Role Responsibilities:

  • Analyse, interpret, report and present information to assist the Council to understand the communities it serves
  • Undertaking and contributing to research and consultation projects and reports
  • Drafting recommendations and advising project leads and management
  • Assisting in the production and delivery of the annual work programme within agreed timescales
  • Sourcing, capturing, undertaking and presenting a range of statistical analysis activities relating to topics
  • Using a range of IT software including Excel, SPSS, Arc GIS Online, Map Info and Power BI
  • Providing training and support on the use of information systems to a range of users across the Council
  • Co-ordinating the provision of general requests for information and data
  • Communicating with service users, elected members, officers and partner organisations and external contacts
Ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience of working in a research/statistical field
  • Experience of researching, analysing, managing, presenting and disseminating information
  • Experience of writing reports, plans and briefings
