Job Description

The Company:

  • A high quality printed flexible packaging manufacturer, supplying both the food and non-food markets with superior printed film products including laminates, lidding film and environmentally friendly films. Due to continued success and significant growth,they have a requirement for a senior Operations Manager to oversee and manage the Front end of the operation (purchasing and planning, internal sales, material control, origination and IT), with a view to taking full responsibility for the whole site.

Job Purpose:
  • To manage the Internal Sales team to provide estimates and quotes ensuring commercial control to deliver our profit targets, process Sales Orders and Works Orders and maintain excellent communication with, and deliver high levels of satisfaction for, ourcustomers.
  • To manage the Purchasing and Planning functions
  • To oversee and champion the use of the MRP system within both the offices and the factory and warehouse ensuring accurate data input and adherence to all procedures
  • To ensure adherence to all procedures and systems companywide
  • To develop new systems and procedures to improve the performance of the business
  • To deliver rigorous cost control to meet our financial targets
  • To partner and support the Site Director in developing our growing business
Skills/Experience:
  • Experience within the flexible packaging industry
  • Technically strong - artwork, origination, print processes
  • Experience of using MRP systems
Salary:
  • £45,000 - £65,000 pa depending on experience.
