Job Description

Athona is currently recruiting for a full time Medical Director / Consultant Psychiatrist on a substantive basis. This position will be working within a private hospital in the East Midlands on a 22 bedded high dependency rehabilitation ward for men plus on calls. The proposed start date is as soon as possible but 3 months notice will also be feasible.

  • As the Medical Director the successful candidate will provide visible leadership for medical staff on both professional and managerial issues at Cygnet Storthfield House.
  • As the Consultant Psychiatrist your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment - fully supported by a first-class multidisciplinary team.
  • In this role, youll combine clinical expertise with sound strategic acumen and inspiring leadership to oversee the delivery of the very best care.
  • As Medical Director, the post holder will also be strongly encouraged to be part of the Cygnet Leadership & Management programme. The programme is accredited by The Chartered Management Institute and forms part of Cygnets Leadership & Management Career Pathway.
