Job Description

I am actively looking to engage candidates for an exciting new opportunity in Long Eaton, Derbyshire as a Logisitcs Office Manager. The successful candidate will harbour a personal development plan to reach Senior Freight Manager.Client DetailsMy client is a local, SME transport operator with large ideals for expansion and growth. Due to the increase in volume of supply and on-boarding of new contracts, they are seeking a Logisitics Office Manager to join the business within the Long Eaton, Derbyshireoffice. The business is fully multi-modal and exports & imports the vast majority of their clients goods from the US, Europe and Far East.DescriptionAs a Logistics Office Manager, you will actively report into the company Managing Director on a daily basis and harbour the following responsibilities:

  • Active daily management of a small team of 4 freight & transport operators, whilst reporting into the Managing Director.
  • Responsibility for providing all import and export based shipping quotes (mainly from the US and Americas).
  • Providing transport pricing and quotations for a variety of customers across varied industries.
  • Team management responsibilities such as RTW, 1-2-1s, personal development, appraisals, KPI monitoring.
  • Providing support and active development of the current team, mainly around customs compliance requirements.
ProfileIn order to be successful in an application for the Logistics Office Manager position, you will ideal have the following experience and qualifications:
  • 3+ years experience within Logistics, Transport or Freight
  • Ideally experience within a logisitc environment
  • Commutable to the Long Eaton area of Derbyshire.
  • A desire to manage a small team and grow within the business.
Job Offer
  • £38,000-£45,000
