Job Description

Lab ManagerLocation - DerbyshireSector - Analytical ChemistrySalary- Up to £35,000 (depending on interview performance & experience)Full time, permanent roleDo you have prior experience managing staff members Are you an enthusiastic individual who enjoys interacting with others We are currently offering the opportunity for a new laboratory manager to join a contract analytical laboratory in Derbyshire. Ourclient is seeking a hard-working and engaging individual to join their team.This is an opportunity for an individual who has prior line management experience within a fast-paced working environment.Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. Applicants without prior line management experience will not be considered.The RoleAs a Lab Manager within analytical chemistry team, you will be responsible for:

  • General running and maintenance of the laboratory,
  • Management and training of staff members,
  • Holding regular one-to-one meetings with staff members to track their progress,
  • Dealing with any staff concerns or queries.
Skills and Experience NeededThe ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Prior line management experience within a fast-paced working environment (essential)
  • An enthusiastic personality & enjoys interacting with others (essential)
  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential)
  • BSc / MSc / equivalent work experience in a scientific discipline (desired)
  • Prior experience working within a UKAS / ISO 17025 accredited environment (desired)
The PackageOur client is offering this opportunity as a full time, permanent opportunity. The starting salary offered is up to £35,000, with a strong benefits package.
