Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (Stalking and Harassment Lead)£25,682 per annumDerbyshireFull Time - 37.5 hours per weekPermanentThe roleAs an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor - Stalking and Harassment Lead, youll lead on the development of a new project to support victims of stalking and harassment. Youll support domestic abuse survivors who are experiencing stalking and victims ofstalking who are currently not accessing services because its not deemed to be domestic abuse. Youll work closely with partner agencies and the police to create referral pathways and raise awareness across the wider community.Job requirements Support victims of stalking and harassment. Provide them with practical, emotional and advocacy support that empowers them to overcome their current situation. Youll focus on safety planning and the use of civil and criminal justice systems to increaseprotection. Explain housing, civil and criminal legal options to customers. Support them through the criminal/civil justice systems and the MARAC process. Work with partner agencies and the police to research and develop a delivery model to best support victims of stalking. Deliver training to current and new colleagues to make sure service delivery is consistent across teams. Provide advice and support to colleagues around stalking and harassment. Attend local and regional forums and meetings relating to stalking and harassment. Liaise with police teams to improve relationships and raise awareness of the service. Promote the service to raise awareness among professionals and familiesWhat our client is looking for A good level of education such as GCSE English and maths, or equivalent. Evidence of self-development or formal learning and development in sector skills. Experience supporting adults with complex needs. An understanding of the legal and practical remedies relating to stalking and harassment. An understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures and legislation. SafeLives IDVA training and Independent Stalking Advocacy Caseworker (ISAC) training, or willingness to complete. Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle for work. DBS check.
