SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a HSE Specialist to join an exclusive client of ours based in Derbyshire. This is a pivotal role for the business and one that requires someone with a solid understanding and knowledge of HSE alongside proven experience.The role itself will be supporting the HSE Manager with regards to all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental. Overall, the successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation and coordination of all H&S programmes for the site whilst alsocarrying out site safety planning to ensure that there are sufficient controls in place to reduce or prevent hazards. The role is a full-time, permanent position that will be based on site full-time at their offices in Derby. Hours for the role are Monday to Thursday 9-5pm, with a 12pm finish on a Friday. Typical duties will include: - Drafting and implementing of all statutory H&S systems, policies and procedures - Communicating with the regulatory offices as required - Serving as an expert within the field of H&S when called upon - Identifying any H&S training requirements for employees - Devising, supervising, and coordinating training programmes which will increase efficiency of safe practices and promote and reinforce HSE culture - Leading on HAZOP for processes (using Safety Cases, FMEA and Risk Bow Tie Model Assessment tools) - Managing and identify waste streams for safe disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials - Assisting with drafting and maintaining site related licencing - Leading on incident investigations and providing detailed reports - Having knowledge and influence compliance of HSE regulatory requirements and maintain CPD - Representing the HSE department in various meetings - Ensuring that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, risk assessments are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities. The successful candidate for this role requires knowledge of HSE Regulations, IOSH Qualification and atleast 3 years experience working within a Health and Safety role, working within a Manufacturing environment.
