Job Description

HR Business Partner - ManufacturingLocation: East MidlandsSalary £55-65,000 + benefitsThe HR Business Partner drives our Client’s business agenda by working with leaders across the business to ensure the organisation is a great place to work for all their employees. Your team will achieve results by being innovative, driven, collaborative and trustworthy. This role is both hands-on and strategic and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching/development, conflict management and ad hoc projects as necessary. As the HR Business Partner you will need to be passionate about your work and help deliver positive change every day.The role:Serves on the site leadership team; acts as a coach, advisor, and confidante to operations leadersHelps drive high performance work systems with a leadership role in driving organisation capabilityLeverage specialised knowledge about the unique plant’s practices, business needs, people, and procedures to execute HR tasksSupport the functional strategy by designing programs, policies, and practices to attract, retain, and/or engage talent in alignment with the business strategyEnhances the organizations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.Provide excellent service to ensure activities provide the intended experience for end users in an efficient and effective manner; manage tasks of self and team to assure deadlines are met according to established service levels/targetse a credible activist for your internal clients, and your team. Exert influence to create positive change and proactively mitigate and resolve employee issues. Adaptability and Capability to learn the business of your client.Lead and partner effectively your team including Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Recruiting, HR Services, and Compensation.Work with the business and others in HR to develop effective organisational structures and on specific job design and leveling to drive organisational health.Proactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and lasting solutions.Be a leader throughout the organsation. Advise, mentor/coach and guide all levels of management to develop positive employee engagement capability and leadership skills.Build credibility and trust among employees. Resolve employee concerns through compassion, a systematic approach, clear documentation and follow-through.Partner with the business to build engaged, high-performing teamsConsult and advise on succession planning, talent reviews and driving the annual merit planning cycle.Actively develop team members.In partnership with leaders, develop workforce plans that ensure success for the long term.The person:Degree or equivalent in and ideally CIPD L7 qualified.Experience of leading a large HR team in a large scale manufacturing or logistics environmentProgressive experience in a HR Business Partner or other senior HR role including coaching, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, training and HR project management or program implementation.Influential an impactful leaderExperience objectively coaching employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues.Applied knowledge of employee relations. Thorough understanding and hands-on application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards.Demonstrated experience in organisational development, change management, coaching and communications.Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organisation and positively influence teams.Proven planning and organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks.Outstanding written and verbal communication; must be a clear, concise and persuasive communicator.Evidence of exceptional ability.Experience leading and mentoring a team and helping to foster/create a "great place to work"Experience delivering and improving HR plant processes to maximise efficiency & deliver quality servicesExperience successfully managing multiple priorities & projects through successful delivery & implementation under time, budget, and political pressureExperience working, monitoring, and interacting with third-party vendorsStrong people leadership skills and demonstrated track record of success leading initiativesSignificant business/operational knowledge with an understanding of risks, challenges, and advantages
