Job Description

FINANCE MANAGER - PROPERTY/HOUSE BUILDER£50,000 - £55,000, CAR ALLOWANCE, BONUS, PENSION PLUS BENEFITSSANDIACRE, NOTTINGHAM (HYBRID ROLE)FULL TIME, PERMANENTHamilton Woods Associates Qualified Division is currently recruiting for a dynamic and growing construction business that is looking for a Finance Manager to join their team in the Nottinghamshire region.The main focus of the Finance Manager role is to Deliver financial management information to support decision making in the business to ensure profitable growth and maximise ROCE.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Viewed as a trusted financial expert by the regional team
  • As required - act as deputy to RFD / RFC in their absence
  • Working with RFD / RFC develop best in class Regional Finance Team
  • Working with RFD / RFC ensure that a robust, risk balanced, and achievable 5-year business plan is prepared and submitted to timetable
  • Prepare monthly profit and cash forecast to timetable
  • Provide clear reporting on sales prices and costs to underpin the regional culture of maximising individual site profitability and supporting blended margin profit recognition
  • Produce information to support monthly full site life reviews and quarterly sales prices reviews
  • Develop best practice procedures and reporting, working with DFD, Central Finance and RFD / RFC
  • Provide clear variance reports, bridges and risk analysis supported by clear commentary
  • Deliver robust and accurate Monthly Management Accounts to timetable and ensure adherence to accounting policy and procedures
  • Ensure robust and accurate monthly reconciliations are carried out in line with company requirements
  • Provide accurate weekly cash forecasts
  • Understand and improve the working capital cycle, working with the RFD / RFC to enhance the cash balance and maximise ROCE
  • Review actual marketing spend and working with the Sales Director review forecast spend to ensure an accurate forecast
  • Working with RFD / RFC and RMD ensure accurate overhead forecasting
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Must have Property - Construction sector / House Building experience
  • Effective communicator up to board level
  • Must drive due to regular site visits
