Job Description

My Client a Telecommunications contractor provide quality services supporting the telecoms industry. Staying at the forefront of the fibre revolution, helping to build communication networks of the future. With a dedicated team of telecommunications expertssupport the survey, design, build and maintenance of fibre networks across the UK. Through shared values of Quality, Partnership and Integrity, earning the trust of telecommunications leaders nationwide.We are looking to recruit an office-based Fibre Network Planner to work at our clients office in Leicester or Wolverhampton on a 12-month contract.We are looking for candidates who are driven by delivering exceptional quality and who have great attention to detail. Knowledge of NRSWA, Business Installations, SmallWorld, GIS and PIA would be advantageous.Specific Responsibilities/Hard Skills Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Work in a professional manner that represents the client at all times
  • Uphold quality standards in personal workmanship
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Excellent working knowledge of telecoms architecture
  • Design suitable civils and fibre optic infrastructure which are cost-effective, fit-for-purpose and future-proof
  • Where required, undertake site surveys in accordance with the client safety guidelines
  • Budget costing in line with design requirements
  • Produce detailed industry-standard documentation of designs
  • Use of GIS software and network planning tools
  • Efficient communication and engagement with clients
  • Meeting operational and daily targets set by the management team
  • Understanding of NRSWA and Traffic management
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • In depth FTTH & business installation methodologies and design experience
  • Onsite survey experience
  • Min 5 years planning experience
  • Computer literate with exceptional understanding of Microsoft applications
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Good organisation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • GIS experience
