THE COMPANY:Brewster Executive have been exclusively retained by a £35 million + turnover engineering business based in Derbyshire who employ close to 200 people as they look to recruit an Engineering Manager.Reporting to the Operations Director, the Engineering Manager is a hands-on position which will see the successful applicant manage all aspects of the Engineering functions and a team of electrical and mechanical engineers of circa 15.We would be particularly interested in speaking to those from the heavy plant or extractive sectors which would include industries such as mining or quarrying.THE JOB:The role of Engineering Manager will involve:· Overseeing all maintenance activities to ensure they are undertaken safely, efficiently, and at least cost and disruption to the business· Creating, regularly updating, and following a maintenance strategy, in line with the objectives of the business· Formulating a clear training and development plan for all engineering staff to ensure all existing competency gaps are addressed· Managing all spending budgets in line with agreed and budgeted levels of expenditure· Managing continuous improvement of the Engineering function by the creation and maintenance of kpis and on progress of these monthlyTHE PERSON:The Engineering Manager will need to have:· Excellent understanding of the maintenance of mobile plant and the installation, commissioning and maintenance of fixed processing plant· Extensive experience working in mechanical and electrical engineering· A track record of managing and supervising relevant mechanical and electrical engineering contracts· Management of multiple projects to ensure achievement of goals on time and within budget· Proven experience of managing the Health and safety of all persons involved in carrying out all engineering activities.· Accountable for budgeting and cost control· Track record of driving CI within safety and engineeringTHE BENEFITS:This opportunity offers a strong all round remuneration package including competitive basic salary, company car and bonus.Brewster Executive are experts in recruitment and search & selection for Leadership & Management.
