Electrical Machine DesignerLocation: East MidlandsPiper Maddox are working with a world leading Aircraft Propulsion systems design and manufacturer to provide multiple Electrical Machine Designers on a contract basis. The business has been operating for the last 100 years and have now embedded themselves asa world-class leader for power-dense, reliable and resilient Aerospace systems. This position is based in the East Midlands and can offer great hybrid working, competitive rates, long term contracts and the ability to work on cutting edge technology for thedefence sector.What you will be doing:*Developing Electrical Machines from an Electromagnetics and Thermal perspective*Supporting a Global team on the delivery of Electric Motor and Generators*Delivering products, prototypes and demonstrators for the business*Work with Aerospace suppliers to integrate new technologies and drive future improvements*Utilising Electromagnetic tools such as MotorCAD, Ansys, Opera, SimsCenter and moreWhat we are looking for:*An Electrical Machine focused Degree or related discipline*Experience delivering Electromagnetic design for Electric Motor or Generator projects*Proficiency with Electromagnetic analysis tools (MotorCAD, Ansys Maxwell, Opera, JMAG etc.)*Understanding Thermal Analysis of Electrical Machines would be considered a bonus*Familiarity with working within highly regulated environments*Ability to work well within multi-disciplinary teamsThis role falls inside IR35 and will need to be pay rolled through an Umbrella company or PAYE. You will need to provide references for three years employment in order to secure BPSS clearance before onboarding can commence.
