Electrical Machine Designer Location: Gloucestershire or Derbyshire Salary: £40,000 - £60,000Piper Maddox are working with the worlds leading Aircraft Propulsion systems design and manufacturer to multiple Electrical Machine Designers on a permanent basis. The business has been operating for the last 100 years and have now embedded themselves as aworld-class leader for power-dense, reliable and resilient Aerospace systems. This position could be based in the East Midlands or Gloucestershire area and can offer great hybrid working, a competitive benefits package and a clearly structured progressionplan to develop your career.What you will be doing:*Developing Electrical Machines from an Electromagnetics and Thermal perspective *Supporting a Global team on the delivery of Electric Motor and Generators*Delivering products, prototypes and demonstrators for the business *Work with Aerospace suppliers to integrate new technologies and drive future improvements*Utilising Electromagnetic tools such as MotorCAD, Ansys, Opera, SimsCenter and more What we are looking for:*An Electrical Machine focused Degree or related discipline*Experience delivering Electromagnetic design for Electric Motor or Generator projects *Proficiency with Electromagnetic analysis tools (MotorCAD, Ansys Maxwell, Opera, JMAG etc.)*Understanding Thermal Analysis of Electrical Machines would be considered a bonus*Familiarity with working within highly regulated environments*Ability to work well within multi-disciplinary teams If you are interested in working on the boundary of technology and changing the way we fly forever then please apply below!
