Job Description

Job title: EcologistSalary: £24,000 - £26,000Location: DerbyshireWe are looking for a keen Ecologist to join a specialist Ecological consultancy in Derbyshire. For over 50 years, they have provided ecological services to the Northwest, Midlands and wider UK. Their core expertise includes providing advice on habitat assessment,creation and restoration, natural flood management, protected species/licencing and biodiversity net gain. If youre an Ecologist based near Derbyshire thats looking to join a supportive and exciting company, we want to hear from you.As an Ecologist you will receive:

  • £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

As an Ecologist, some of your duties will be:
  • Undertaking of habitat protected species survey and reporting work, including PEA, EcIA, EIA and HRA.
  • Undertaking desktop studies.
  • Planning, coordinating and managing projects.
What youll need:
  • Proven experience in an ecological consultancy, including in a project environment.
  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject.
  • Be a keen learner, with a strong desire to progress and develop yourself professionally.
  • Membership of CIEEM.
  • If you hold one or more protected species licences or are almost there, this is highly desirable.
  • Driving licence and access to your own car.
