Job Description

Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme FacilitatorLocation: DerbyshireSalary: £20674 per annum (pro rata)Part Time - 35 hours and 25 hours per week (2x roles available)Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st July 2022All applications by Monday 8th November 2021TWO ROLES | Part time (25 hour) and full-time hours (35 hours) availableOur client is looking for Domestic Abuse Prevention Programme Facilitators to join their exciting new service. Youll work with perpetrators who have been abusive towards their partner or ex-partner, through group work holding perpetrators accountable fortheir behaviour with the aim to unlock healthier relationships and improve the safety of families.In line with best practice, our client is looking to recruit one male and one female to these roles.Job requirements:

  • Alongside your colleague, you will deliver a structured domestic abuse prevention programme for men who have been abusive towards a partner, or ex.
  • Complete assessments with potential customers to assess their suitability for the programme based on specific aims and criteria.
  • Work in partnership with the Integrated Support Service practitioner to make sure that all necessary actions are taken to keep the victim/survivor and their children safe.
  • Update customer case files and complete reports as required.
What our client is looking for:
  • Have experience or knowledge of issues of violence and abuse towards women.
  • Have a recognised qualification in health and social care, equivalent or demonstrable experience.
  • Hold a qualification or have experience in delivering group work or training.
  • Have an understanding of why some people use abusive behaviours in relationships.
  • A flexible and creative approach to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Someone who can effectively prioritise their work.
  • Able to drive with access to a vehicle for business use.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
