Job Description

Are you looking for a new career opportunityMach Recruitment are hiring for Despatch Loaders to work in a large warehouse and distribution site in East Midlands, Skygate.Job Title: Despatch LoaderLocation: Derby4 ON 4 OFF; Day shift 10:00am to 22:00pm OR Night 22:00pm to 10:00amDay shift: £10.50 per hour OT £15.75 per hourNight Shift: £12.39 per hour OT £18.59 per hourPermanent contractThe role:As a Despatch Loader you will be working within a warehouse environment and your duties will be as followed:

  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery according to schedule (Sort, Wrap, Label, Transport, Ship) using a handheld automated scanner
  • Ensure all stock is stored, handled, and transported securely and in line with company procedure and health and safety guidelines
  • Communicate and cooperate with Managers and co-workers
  • Work with colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Take reasonable care of both your own health and safety and of others who may be affected, ensuring all company health and safety is followed and all relevant legislation complied with raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to yourline manager
  • Ensuring daily / weekly Despatch targets are achieved / exceeded
  • Any other duties that may be required from time to time for smooth running of the business
About you: As a Despatch Loader you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Good attention to detail
  • Conscientious, reliable with good attendance and timekeeping standards
  • Honest, trustworthy, able to work unsupervised
  • Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen to learn and acquire new skills, responds positively to feedback
  • Good understanding of and committed to safe working practices
  • Positive team player
  • Flexible, adaptable, and calm when working under pressure
  • PPT licence holder preferred but not mandatory
