Job Description

Are you looking to make a difference in Childrens lives Do you havesocialwork experience of working within childrens servicesWe are looking for an experienced social worker to join our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Childrenteam (UASC) in Derbyshire, Child in Care experience is preferred.The pay rate would be up to £38 per hour dependent on experience and the role is based in Derbyshire.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Good knowledge and experience of working with, assessing and supporting UASC and/or former UASC care leavers, with full understanding of the Asylum and Looked After processes and legislations.
  • To produce robust risk assessment and safeguarding plans.
  • To demonstrate their experience of working with children in care, UASC, care leavers, adolescents and/or children and families without recourse to public funds is essential, but also a keen interest in working with and supporting young people who have experiencedtrauma.
  • To be flexible to as and when they will need to work.
Reed are now offering a joining bonus of up to £250 for Qualified Social Workers. Terms apply.As an ideal candidate, you will be:
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Having experience of minimum 2 years in Children Services
  • Able to drive and holds UK Driving License
