Cheif Electrical Engineer

Role: Chief Electrical EngineerLocation: DerbyshireType: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00Salary: circa £45-50kKey Responsibilities:

Responsible for all engineering elements within the business, from approving project designs to ensuring that all safety, electrical and industrial standards are met throughout the completion of each project.
Supporting the Sales team and all the staff with their technical knowledge, experience, and skills.
Oversee all aspects of the specification, design and procurement of Power, Distribution and special Transformers and other related products.
Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
Liaising with customers to develop and deliver proposals.
Be the focal point and authorising body for all technical queries whether internally or from customers.
Develop and create potential new products and opportunities
To ensure that any Distribution, Power, or special Transformers, supplied meet the required technical specification.
Ensuring all elements of the design review process and approval are followed and enforced.
Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers.
Making technical presentations and demonstrating the companys services as necessary.
Support marketing activities by attending clients, trade shows, etc and interacting with the marketing function.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

Experience of Distribution transformers, HV and LV switchgear and ideally be qualified to
Degree level with previous experience of the industry.
Sufficient experience in an Electrical Engineering role, (11kv+) ideally with appropriate membership or recognition from IET, IEEE etc.
Commitment to Customer focus, ability to persuade and influence at all levels.
Proficiency in typical information technology tools (Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, and ERP systems)

Candidates will preferably be able to show:

Experience of testing Distribution and/or Power transformers
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Knowledge of supply chains and materials related to distribution transformers and switchgear.
