Job Description

Bench JoinerCompetitive Salary - DerbyshireThe RoleDo you possess previous experience as a Bench Joiner coupled with the ability to follow and understand working drawings If so, we have an exciting new challenge for you.Phillips Joinery is looking for a bench joiner with at least 5 years of experience to join our friendly team due to increased workload.We are a family-run business that has been making bespoke joinery for over 50 years.Because our workplace is a busy place, the ability to work quickly and fulfil deadlines is essential.This is a full-time salaried position. Salary will be negotiated depending on experience.Key Responsibilities:The key responsibilities of a Bench Joiner to include, but are not limited to:

  • Manufacturing of bespoke sash windows, box sash frames and casement
  • Hanging of doors including espagnolette systems
  • Preparing joinery for spraying and fitting ironmongery when needed
  • Follow and understand working drawings
  • Filling, sanding, and finishing products
  • Use both hand and power tools

We providea personal service at every stage and 90% of our clients are repeat clients.The PersonThe key skills and qualities of a Bench Joiner:
  • Experience of arch work will be advantageous but not essential
  • Able to organise your workload and prioritise tasks
  • Highly organised, and be thorough with great attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality projects on time
  • Capable of working as part of a team and having good interpersonal skills
  • A can do attitude is a must!
