Job Description

Dynamics 365 Support EngineerReports to IT ManagerLocation DerbyshireJob type PermanentSalary £40,000Offering hybrid working (3/2 wfh)Purpose of the roleThe Dynamics 365 Support Engineer role will act as a support function to the IT Manager acting as a conduit between the IT team and the business. Reporting directly to the IT Manager the role is to ensure that current and future systems are supported, maintainedand enhanced in line with current and future business requirements. The role will involve elements such as:

  • Gathering business requirements
  • Application Support
  • Software Testing (with users)
  • 3rd party supplier management (with IT Manager)
  • Documentation
  • Training
  • Data integrity
  • IT Infrastructure Management
In the short term (12-18 months) the role will be critical in supporting the delivery of the Phase 3 ERP project by ensuring support for the project and ensuring current D365 applications are maintained during implementation. The role covers a variety offunctions to ensure the project gets delivered on time and to budget.The role is based at the Ilkeston site and will involve liaising with the software delivery teams from our software suppliers and communicating with other software vendors such as Infinity (CE) and EY (F&O).The role will also involve liaising with internal teams within CBVH to capture, document and test application requirements, development and delivery.The role will also involve the occasional element of IT support to cover holiday periods or periods of extreme activity.Key Responsibilities
  • To join the IT Team and assist with the support and deployment of business-related applications.
  • Capture and document at a high-level our current business processes
  • Assist the business by facilitating with data cleanse / integrity
  • Attend meetings related to project and document outcomes and actions
  • Assist with project documentation
  • Develop user training guides for software applications
  • Gather requirements for current and future software applications
  • Assist with end-user training where required
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to ensure successful application management
  • Act as deputy in the absence of the IT Manager.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience of software application support
  • Analytical mind and problem solving
  • Experience of end-user software testing and documentation
  • Familiarity with software systems related to business/finance
  • Familiarity with Office Applications - (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • End user documentation
  • Data cleanse / data manipulation
  • IT Support (end user)
  • Understanding of Windows technologies
  • Understanding of network fundamentals - patching and switches
  • Experience of Team Leadership
Education & QualificationsDesirable
  • Experience of MS D365 Customer Engagement
  • Experience of MS D365 Finance & Operations
  • Understanding of IT systems and principles
  • Experience of business software applications
  • Prince 2 or other project methodologies
