Stock Supervisor Hours: 4 on 4 off 12 hour shifts - There are day and night opportunitiesThis is an exciting time to join one of the biggest retailers in the UK as they are moving into the Derby area and you can join them in their fast moving business as a Stock Supervisor. Role Overview:The purpose of the role is to support the Returns & Stock Control Manager in overseeing the day to day running of Returns & Stock Control Department. To ensure that daily targets and SLAs are achieved through effective management. Promoting a supportiveand safe working environment. To maintain accuracy and and high levels of Customer Service for Group functions and Suppliers.Key Duties/ResponsibilitiesTo look to continuously improve systems and process to maximise efficiencys.To oversee all aspects of Returns & Stock Control including:Multi-Channel ReturnsSupplier ReturnsCycle CountsAuditsStock RemovalsTo report any potential quality or product issues to the relevant departmentsTo monitor levels of adjustments within the DC and analyse the information to identify and report on your findingsTo monitor the audit trail of cartons being dispatched from the DCTo trace discrepancies reported by stores To carry out spot checks, monitor and oversee stocks destined for disposalTo assist with the ongoing development of all members of the departmentTo deputise for the Returns and Stock Control Manager in their absenceTo complete any other reasonable adhoc task in line with the needs of the Business and your current level of responsibilitySkills/Experience/Knowledge Needed: Some supervisory/management experience within a distribution environment. Previous Returns or Stock Control experienced would be preferred but not essential. Ability to problem solve. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Be able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and numeracy in order to produce documentation and maintain a variety of accurate records. Ability to prioritise work. Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative. A team player. Computer literate.
