Whats the jobWorking as part of a highly skilled team based on a historical site. Fabricating various assemblies using Aluminium, steel or stainless steel incorporating TIG and MAG welding as required.* Ensure the Health and Safety of yourself and others at all times. * Work from reports, drawings or other detailed documentation following systems, policies and procedures during production. * Will be required to work through multiple jobs without assistance. * Have the ability to work unsupervised although part of a team. * Work in a fast-paced production environment where efficiency and quality are key. * Work to and improve on the manufacturing level 4 hours allocated, to ensure a positive performance. * Must be a Certified welder with valid test bars in TIG and MAG welding. * Can overcome distortion and produce components within given tolerances. * Perform in process inspection. * Have an eye for detail regarding product finish. * Ensure products are available for delivery in line with production requirements. * Maintain quality by following organizational standards. * Maintain a safe and clean working environment. * Competent to engage with design/production engineers if required to help solve customers requirements and offer solutions and improvements to their design. * Work on project development and prototypes. What is neededExperience:* TIG Welding aluminium sheet (2-3mm) in flat horizontal position * Ability to sequence welds to avoid distortion. * Ability to manufacture and build components from engineering drawings. * Working to various fine tolerances. Qualifications:* NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding / Sheet metal work * City and Guilds * BTEC What else to know Rates of Pay: PAYE Basic Days - £13.79Mornings - £14.89Afternoon - £16.00Basic Nights £18.34O/T 1- £17.24O/T 2 - £20.69All Hrs Sat - £20.69All Hrs Sun - £27.58UMBRELLA Basic Days - £17.46Mornings - £18.91Afternoon - £20.37Basic Nights - £23.46O/T 1 - £22.01O/T 2 - £26.55All Hrs Sat - £26.55All Hrs Sun - £35.63Retention Bonus:£2 retention bonus for every hour you work - including OT!Paid in December (before Christmas) subject to employment status terms and conditions.Example: 37 hours basic + 5 hours OT worked each week over 52 weeks:37 + 5 = 42.
