Job Description

Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Security Engineer! Our client, a visionary company at the forefront of integrating environmental, social, and governance(ESG) considerations into financial decision-making, is seeking a talented Senior Security Engineer to contribute to their mission.Position: Senior Security Engineer As a Senior Security Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our cutting-edge platform. Your expertise will directly impactthe success of our mission to promote sustainability and innovation in financial strategies.Job Details:

  • Rate: £550 to £600 per day
  • Outside IR35
  • 6 month Contract
Responsibilities:
  • Design and maintain security solutions tailored to sustainable finance practices, ensuring the safeguarding of systems, networks, applications, and data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests focused on sustainable finance to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents related to sustainable finance, conducting thorough analysis and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Implement and manage SSL/TLS protocols, OAuth authorisation, and encryption technologies to ensure secure data transmission and user authentication within sustainable finance operations.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation specific to sustainable finance practices, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
  • Utilise machine learning and AI technologies to enhance threat detection, anomaly detection, and incident response capabilities, with a focus on sustainable finance-related threats.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring secure code deployment practices for sustainable finance applications.
  • Configure and manage network security appliances and tools, emphasizing security for sustainable finance systems and transactions.
  • Utilise SIEM tools like Splunk to monitor and analyze system logs, specifically those generated by sustainable finance activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in security engineering and sustainable finance.
  • Proficiency in PyTorch, machine learning concepts, and sustainable finance principles.
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic protocols, SSL/TLS, AES encryption, OAuth, with a focus on sustainable finance applications.
  • Experience with network security tools, including Snort, firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs (OpenVPN), and proxy servers (Squid Proxy), configured for both security and sustainability.
  • Expertise in SIEM platforms such as Splunk tailored to monitor and ensure the security and sustainability of financial systems.
