Ideally based in the East Midlands you will be responsible for 3 of our operational sites.We are leading providers of 2-person home delivery services across the UK, delivering home furnishing products on behalf of major retailers and making over one million deliveries per year. Our aim is to achieve this by “getting it right first time, every time”.What will you be doing as our Senior Regional ManagerThis is a senior role within the business, you will have overall accountability for the performance of Multi-Site Operations, leading a team of General Managers to deliver results for your region. You will be leading from the front, managing and developing various teams to help achieve the same goal. You will be managing the relationship with the client ensuring they receive the best customer service whilst understanding their needs.You will control costs and maximise profitability by motivating, leading, inspiring and developing your General Managers and sites to consistently deliver the highest standard of safety, quality and service.What will you be responsible for as our Senior Regional Manager- Proactive management and review of all operational costs and budgets to maximise Regional profitability- Ensure full compliance with current and future Transport Legislation- Promotion and maintenance of a Health & Safety environment to comply with business and legislative requirements- People Management of all Staff including recruitment, induction, ongoing training, succession planning/development, regular documented reviews/appraisals.- Conduct disciplinary meetings up to and including dismissal as per Company procedures.- Ensure Monthly Site Management Meetings are conducted throughout the region in line with company requirements.- Develop and lead General Managers and Site Management Teams to consistently deliver excellent customer focus and service.- Achievement of Operational KPI’s & Customer Service Targets in line with business and contractual requirements- Maintain excellent relations with Client Management at Store and Central operations attending Client meetings on a minimum bi-monthly basis, contributing and influencing positively the meeting.- Development of Strategic and Operational plans and projects to meet business and client needs, managing the overall execution and measuring results.- Ensure Operational security requirements are adhered to, e.g. vehicle keys, phones, fuel cards, EPOD’sWho are we looking for- Strong relationship skills are key to manage the client’s needs and expectations.- Significant experience of successfully managing a minimum of 5 sites multi-site Operations.- Ability to operate in a fast-paced customer oriented Logistics environment- Strong commercial and budgetary awareness, with the ability to manage financial performance through the analysis of information- Strong people management skills with the ability to lead by example demonstrating a positive “Can Do” attitude- Good presentation and a polite, tactful and friendly character- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including report writing and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation- Highly self motivated, comfortable with a large degree of autonomy- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to pay great attention to detail- Excellent planning and organisation skills, including significant focus on follow up and review- Ability to work to strict deadlines, including having the ability to prioritise and make decisions whilst under pressure to achieve tangible results- High level of PC literacy- Hold a current Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage or equivalentThe benefits!In return for your hard work and commitment we can offer excellent company benefits and a wide range of employee discounts, pension and opportunities for progression.If you feel you can support us with our ambitious growth plans and want to find out more about our Senior Regional Manager role click ‘Apply’ now!
